If you didn’t catch my drift of intense excitement for the upcoming release of Food, Inc. in my last post, let me tell you – I am SO excited!
BUT, as much as I love Michael Pollan’s mantra of Eat Food, Mostly Plants, Not too Much, you have to admit that the below interview, between Steven Colbert and the film’s co-producer, Eric Schlosser, is flippin’ hilarious.
If you’re a food lover (and I know you are), then I’m sure you’ve heard about the upcoming documentary, ”Food, Inc.” The film that ”lifts the veil on our nation’s food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government’s regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA.”
Yikes, right? Check out the trailer below:
The film features interviews with food big-wigs like Michael Pollan (Omnivore’s Dilemma and In Defense of Food) and Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), in addition to many other forward-thinking social entrepreneurs like Stonyfield’s Gary Hirshberg and Polyface Farms’ Joel Salatin.
The film opens in San Fran, NY, and LA on June 12th, and will continue to plow across the nation thereafter; leaving a mess of controversy in its wake, no doubt. Check out when it will be coming to a city near you here. .
